2011 Store Policies and Contract Information:

These policies were created to insure that your experience with Rainbow's End is a pleasant one.  Please be sure to ask any questions you may have and fully understand these policies, before your purchase is finalized. You can review our privacy policies here.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL.  NO REFUNDS, RETURNS OR EXCHANGES.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

1. SHOWING YOUR BRIDAL GOWN:
   1. Your wedding gown will never be shown to anyone without you being present, or without your prior permission to do so in your absence.
   2. Your wedding gown will be put away in our storage room.  No one else will be looking at or trying on your gown.
   3. Please make an appointment to show your wedding gown to family and friends.
2. DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS:
   1. A NON-REFUNDABLE minimum deposit of 50% is required on special orders and all layaway eligible items purchased from in-store stock.
   2. The deposit must be received from ALL bridesmaids before ANY of the gowns can be ordered.
   3. Rush charges and/or upgraded shipping associated with orders not being placed in a timely fashion due to delinquent deposits and/or measurements are the responsibility of the customer.
   4. If the wedding is cancelled or postponed, the gown(s) must be paid for in full and picked up by the original wedding date, or all deposits are forfeited and the gown becomes the property of Rainbow’s End.  It is the responsibility of the customer to notify Rainbow’s End before that date as to the status and disposition of the item.
3. SPECIAL ORDERS: 
   1. All bridal merchandise is made to order and is therefore once an order has been placed with Rainbow’s End it cannot be canceled for any reason.
   2. All communication regarding bridal party orders (maids, flower girls, etc.) is done through bride.  It is her responsibility to keep the wedding party updated on shipping dates, delivery of items, etc.
   3. All deposits are forfeited on canceled orders.  NO REFUNDS.
   4. Gowns are ordered according to the manufacturers’ size charts - NOT CUSTOM MADE to measurements.  The measurements taken are used a GUIDELINE to select the closest STANDARD SIZE.
   5. Alterations/fittings to any gown are almost always necessary.
   6. Rainbow's End will make recommendations regarding sizing, but the final decision on what size is ordered is the customer's responsibility.
   7. Weight loss or gain (including pregnancy) and the resulting alterations are the financial responsibility of the customer.
4. STOCK GOWN PURCHASES:
   1. Gowns purchased from stock are in AS IS condition.
   2. Buyer agrees to inspect all goods before leaving the store.
   3. Upon acceptance and removal from the store, Rainbow's End is no longer responsible for any claims pertaining to said merchandise.
5. CLEARANCE GOWNS:  Bridal gowns that are clearance priced (50% or more off original price) are sold in AS IS condition and do NOT include the following items or services – they can be purchased at an additional cost:
   1. A logo vinyl garment bag for bridal gowns ($10)
   2. Any pressing or ironing ($50 for formal bridal gowns, $25 for informal bridal gowns, $15 for bridesmaids/mothers, etc)
6. ALTERATIONS/FITTINGS:
   1. Alterations/fittings are NOT INCLUDED in the price of the gowns.
   2. Alterations are provided by independent seamstresses at our location.  They will bill you directly for their services.
   3. This service is provided for your convenience, and you are under no obligation to have your gown altered/fitted by our seamstresses.
   4. The gown must be paid in full prior to any alterations being performed.
   5. The seamstress will be happy to provide you with an estimate of services at the time of your first fitting, if you ask her for one.
   6. Payment is due to the seamstress at the time of your final fitting.  Payment to the seamstresses must be made by Cash or Check.  They do not accept credit cards.
   7. Alterations should be started at least 6 to 8 weeks before the wedding.  It is your responsibility to call us and make your fitting appointment.
   8. Alterations are done by appointment ONLY.  Call us at least 1 week in advance to make an appointment.
   9. You should plan on at least 2-3 fittings, one of which must be a final fitting prior to picking up your gown.
   10. Alterations will NOT be performed if the customer does not have the shoes and undergarments (i.e. the exact bra and petticoat) that will be worn with the gown at the time of the fitting.
   11. Alterations appointments run on a very tight schedule.  If the customer is more than 10 minutes late, we reserve the right to cancel the appointment and it will need to be rescheduled.
   12. A $15 fitting fee will be charged for all “consultation only” appointments, or if a customer decides not to have the alterations done after they have had a first fitting.          
7. SHIPPING:
   1. All gowns must be shipped to us first.  The manufacturers cannot drop ship gowns to individual customers.
   2. We will ship gowns by the best ground service method, either Priority Mail or UPS for a shipping and handling fee of $15.00 for bridesmaids, flower girls or mothers, and $25 for bridal gowns.
8. PRESSING AND PICKUP:
   1. Bridal Gowns should be picked up at least 3 or more days before the wedding. 
   2. Bridesmaids should be picked up at least a week before the wedding.
   3. Please do not expect to try your gown on the day you pick it up.  All final fittings should be completed prior to the final pressing and pickup date.
   4. All gowns* will receive a FREE final pressing prior to pickup.  If you are using your own seamstress, it will be her responsibility to keep it pressed, or to re-press it after alterations. (*Clearance gowns excluded)
   5. Appointments are required to pick up your wedding gown.
   6. We require a minimum of 72 hours notice to have your gown pressed.  We cannot guarantee it can be done in less time.
   7. Note:  If you stop in to pick up your wedding gown without giving us proper notice, it unfortunately will NOT be final pressed.
